You’re invited on a once-in-a-lifetime tour to beautiful Havana and historic Matanzas, Cuba with CAYO and the Uptown Brass! This week-long journey gives patrons an inside look at the rich musical and cultural history of the island. See a professional brass quintet at work in Cuba’s famed schools for the performing arts and hear an unforgettable array of performances, from classical to popular to Afro-Cuban jazz!

Trip details

  • Enjoy hands-off, concierge travel! CAYO will book your flights and provide the necessary tourist visa. You'll have a double-occupancy bedroom and en-suite bathroom in one of CAYO’s vetted casa particulares, beautiful colonial houses in safe, quiet neighborhoods. Single occupancy bedroom available for an extra fee. Daily breakfast is provided by casa staff.

    The week’s itinerary includes visits with independent business owners and artists in Cuba, time to observe CAYO teaching artists and students at work in our partner schools, and a special day trip to neighboring Matanzas and the beautiful beaches of Varadero. Highlights include private performances by Cuba's young generation of jazz and popular musicians. Celebrate cultural diplomacy and the power of music to connect the world!

  • The cost of the patron tour is $4,575 per person. Your $750 tax-deductible deposit to CAYO, due November 1, is non-refundable and transferable to future trips in case of cancelation.

    Fee includes:

    Zoom orientation and pre-travel logistical assistance

    Flight and Cuban tourist visa, required for entry

    All lodging, meals, airport transfers and ground transportation

    Day trip to Matanzas and Varadero beaches

    Opening reception and donation distribution party
